Privacy Policy
Last reviewed: 03/09/2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information The Valley Digital collects, why we collect it, how it is stored and protected, how long we keep it, and the rights you have in relation to it. This document is a draft pending review by qualified UAE legal counsel.
Who we are
The Valley Digital ("TVD", "we", "us") is an independent property intelligence platform focused on The Valley community in Dubai. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Emaar Properties. Community and developer names are used for identification purposes only.
Contact email for privacy matters: privacy@thevalleydigital.ae.
Information we collect
Account information: your name, email address, mobile number and contact preferences when you create an account or sign in (including via email/password, one-time code or Google sign-in).
Property and ownership information: details you provide or confirm about a property in The Valley, including community, villa or unit number, and your connection to it.
Verification documents: where you choose to verify ownership, buyer position or funding, we collect the documents you upload — which may include Title Deed or Oqood documents, identity documents, proof of funds and mortgage pre-approval documents.
Usage information: records of your enquiries, searches, saved items, verification submissions, appointment requests and interactions with platform features such as Vallerie, to the extent those features are enabled.
Technical information: device, browser, approximate location derived from IP address, and cookie or similar identifiers used for security, session management and aggregated analytics.
How we use your information
To create and operate your My Valley account and remember your preferences.
To verify ownership, buyer position or funding where you request verification, and to maintain the integrity of verified-only features.
To prepare market reviews, reports and responses to your enquiries, and to communicate with you by your chosen contact method.
To operate, secure and improve the platform, including fraud prevention, abuse detection and debugging.
To produce aggregated, non-identifying statistics about platform usage. We do not sell your personal data.
How your information is stored and protected
Account and platform data is hosted on our cloud backend, which provides managed authentication, database and file storage services. Data may be processed in data centres outside the UAE; where this occurs we rely on the safeguards provided by our infrastructure providers, subject to confirmation by legal counsel.
Verification documents — including Title Deed, Oqood, identity, proof of funds and mortgage documents — are stored in private file storage. They are not publicly accessible, are not indexed, and are accessible only to authorised reviewers through short-lived signed links issued after server-side authorisation checks.
Verification documents are never made accessible to the Vallerie assistant or to any automated content-generation feature.
Access to administrative systems is restricted by role-based access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will act in accordance with applicable law.
Who can see your information
Your full profile (including email address, phone number and display name) is not publicly visible. Other users cannot browse or search member profiles.
Authorised administrators can access profile and verification records only as needed to operate verification, support and administration.
Where future community features (such as The Valley Digital Bulletin) display member-contributed content, any public attribution will use a deliberately limited public identity — for example a bulletin handle — rather than your email, phone number or full name. Any such feature will be described in this policy before launch.
We may share data with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example hosting, authentication, analytics and communications providers) under appropriate contractual safeguards, and where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Communications
We may send you service communications (such as sign-in codes, verification updates and responses to enquiries) and, where you have opted in, updates about the platform and The Valley community. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time through your account preferences or by contacting us.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account information while your account is active. Verification records and uploaded documents are retained for as long as needed to support your verified status, resolve disputes and meet record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data, including uploaded documents. Some records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate record-keeping; where this applies we will tell you.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw consent for optional processing, such as marketing communications, at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@thevalleydigital.ae. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. The precise statutory rights available to you under applicable UAE and other data protection law will be confirmed in the final version of this policy following legal review.
Children
The platform is intended for adults interested in property ownership and purchase. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform develops. Material changes will be notified through the platform, and the 'Last reviewed' date above will be updated.
